Andrew Eastmond was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand until nineteen years of age. He then left his homeland headed for England and Europe for two years. He was traveling to see the world and to find out what life was all about and as a nightclub musician and motorcycle rider, he experienced many different types of people in different countries and cultures.
After coming to the USA and traveling extensively on a motorcycle all over the country, he settled in New Orleans, LA for the winter of 1978, and spent 10 months playing music on Bourbon Street. A girl he had met during that time came into the club he was playing in and asked him to go to church with her. He went, heard the gospel, and surrendered to Jesus Christ and turned from sin to embrace the will of God. He became an ordained minister of the gospel in 1984.
The Lord began to give him songs from the bible and opportunities began to open up in churches and coffee houses in and around New Orleans. Andrew was very involved in church at First Assembly of God in New Orleans for four years. He was leading worship in home group meetings and in the church. While traveling to one of the many churches that invited him to do ministry, he met Kathy and they married the following year. Their home-base has been Saline, Louisiana with their son, John, since 1986 and their home church is “The Gospel” in Ruston, Louisiana, pastored by Robert and Margaret Daulton.
Andrew, Kathy, and John travel full-time: twelve months a year with nine months doing ministry all over the United States, and the remaining three months a year ministering within driving distance of their home. They have also ministered in New Zealand as God has opened opportunity.
John Eastmond graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Substance Abuse Counselor Concentration and is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. As an ordained minister, he shares the Word of God in a powerful way that impacts every age group, and is an outstanding musician and singer/songwriter. He accompanies Andrew with amazing lead playing on electric and acoustic guitars, and also writes and performs his own original and biblical songs. His music is anointed, creative, and impacts his hearers with renewed vision for loving the Lord and living an overcoming life!
